Math

MathMathematics is a complex subject that links to many disciplines. We have found that working on mathematical  problems is similar to a game or puzzle. Although one of the most time consuming of academic disciplines, math can be fun and can open one’s eyes to new ways of seeing the world.

Math Tutoring:

Elementary Math
Place values, adding and subtracting whole numbers, multiplying and dividing whole numbers, adding and subtracting fractions, multiplying and dividing fractions, ratios and proportions, operations with decimals, and operations with percents, measurement, geometry.
Pre-Algebra
Rational numbers, expressions and functions, equations and inequalities, linear functions and systems of equations, operations on real numbers, angles and lines, similar triangles and the Pythagorean Theory, data analysis, units of measure, properties, multi-step equations, and inequalities
Algebra I
Real numbers, decimals, number theory, fractions, ratios and percents, equations, functions and graphs, polynomials and factoring, inequalities and absolute values, equations and inequalities, radicals, quadratic equations, and rational expressions.
Algebra II
Functions, linear functions, quadratic, functions, polynomials and rational expressions, matrices, exponents and logarithms, trigonomic functions, linear transformations, sequences and series, combinations and permutations, probability.
Statistics
The collection of data, and the subsequent analysis of this data are the goal of statistics and probability. Probability is the study of chance while statistics is more concerned with the method of data collection and the subsequent analytic techniques. An understanding of these concepts is crucial to anyone entering the fields of science or economics.
